John Deere dealers, Shaw’s Ridge Equipment of Sanford Maine and T&T Power Equipment of Concord New Hampshire have become North Country Tractor, Inc.
Owners Robert Gonyou of Sanford Maine and William Taranovich of Concord New Hampshire began business under the new name on January 1st, 2009. North Country Tractor has four locations - Sanford, Concord, Ossipee, and Dover – serving three thousand square miles across Maine and New Hampshire. Built upon a strong family heritage, North Country Tractor’s origin dates back nearly 70 years as Shaw's Ridge Equipment in Sanford Maine. Shaw’s Ridge grew under three generations of family ownership until its purchase by Robert Gonyou, then partner, in 1991. Robert’s commitment with John Deere began as a Territory Manager from 1974 to 1987. William Taranovich, a second Generation John Deere dealer, founded T&T Power Equipment February 1991. The Taranovich’s first dealership dates back to 1959 in Proctor Vermont. Growing up under the roof of his father’s dealership, William’s ten years of management experience prepared him for the expansion of the family operation. Robert and William collectively exist to provide high quality sales and service. Their merger promises to offer greater inventory and more competitive options. A joining of forces praised at the local level, Robert and William look forward to expanding upon the foundation that is North Country Tractor, Inc.
